Words
Of the many things with which this week will be filled, words are at or near the top of the list.
We will read them.
We will write them.
We will hear them.
We will say them.
We will be cursed with them.
We will be blessed by them.
We can curse with them.
We can bless with them.
Remind us, O Lord, that the quality, nature, and purpose of our words reveal the quality, nature, and purpose of our hearts.
May our words this week reveal hearts that are inclined toward blessing and not toward cursing, toward helping and not toward hurting, and toward love and not toward hate.
Amen.
