Turn Away (Fifteenth Day of Lent)
O God,
Are there habits—practices that are bad for me—from which I need to turn away?
Are there situations—settings that are dangerous for me—from which I need to turn away?
Are there people—individuals who would misuse and abuse me—from whom I need to turn away?
Are there attitudes—ways of feeling and thinking that are no credit to me—from which I need to turn away?
Give me grace to turn away from anything from which I need to turn away for the sake of my well-being, my relationships, and my witness.
Amen.
