Imperfections (Thirty-Fourth Day of Lent)
O God,
Some of us have trouble acknowledging our imperfections while some of us do not; some of us see imperfections where they don’t exist while some of us don’t see the ones that do.
Help us to acknowledge our imperfections but help us also not to think of ourselves as being more imperfect than we actually are.
Once we are able to be honest and realistic about our imperfections, help us to be thankful for them, for they are what drive us toward your mercy and your grace.
Make us glad for the realization that we need you.
Amen.
