O God,
Thank you for the gift of community.
Thank you for the ties that bind us together; thank you for the differences that make us interesting.
Help us to do what we can to foster and to build community; help us to celebrate both our sameness and our diversity.
Help us to build up and not to tear down, to help and not to hurt, and to pull toward and not to push away.
Amen.
