O God,
Help us to live as people who are both lost and found.
Help us to live as people who are lost so that we will experience life as a journey toward we know not where and we know not what; give us an ongoing sense of being lost so that we will keep on searching.
Help us also to live as people who are found so that we will engage in our journey with a sense of security and a sense of purpose; give us an ongoing sense of being found so that we will live and search with hope and trust.
Help us to live as people who are both lost and found …
Amen.
