Both, Part 4

O God,

Help us today both to hurry and to wait.

Help us to hurry—not in the sense of frantically and carelessly barreling forward but in the sense of making effective use of our time—to do well at what we need to do; help us to make good use of our time.

Help us to wait—not in the sense of doing nothing but in the sense of living in light of the fact that your schedule is not our schedule and your timing is not our timing—so that we will do whatever we do as an act of faithfully following and serving you.

Amen.
