Beauty

O God,

Give us eyes that can see and spirits that can detect the beauty that is all around us.

Help us to see and to detect the beauty in—

--the shining sun;
--the gentle breeze;
--the baby’s smile;
--the lover’s touch;
--the friend’s concern;
--the pet’s kiss;
--the song’s movement;
--the story’s complexity; and

in so much more.

Give us eyes that see, spirits that feel, and lives that know the beauty that is all around us.

Amen.
