Twenty-Fifth Day of Lent
O God,
Increase our love.
Don’t let us treat repentance as just a turning away from the negative and destructive motives, attitudes, and actions in our lives.
Help us rather to enact our repentance by turning toward positive and constructive motives, attitudes, and actions.
Fill us up with your love; make us so full of your love that there will be less and less room available in us for anything that is not love.
Let our repentance be at its heart an increased openness to and living out of your love.
Amen.
