Twenty-Eighth Day of Easter
O God,
When Jesus comes again,
we will be raised.
It will be wonderful!
Hallelujah!
Jesus has already come to us,
and so we have been raised.
It is wonderful!
Hallelujah!
Help us to live as the resurrected people that we already are;
help us to rise from the deadness of pride and ego
and to rise to the life of grace, love, and service.
Help us to live as those who have been raised
from envy, self-centeredness, hate, and apathy
and who have been raised to
sympathy, empathy, love, compassion, and involvement.
Thank you that we will be raised.
Thank you that we have been raised.
Help us to live
in light of
the assurance of our future resurrection
and in light of
the present presence
of the resurrected Christ in our lives.
Amen.
