The Lord’s Day
O God,
We want to love you with our entire being;
we want to be committed to you with everything we are.
So in our worship of you today,
help us for those few minutes to focus
all of our attention,
all of our thoughts, and
all of our feelings on you.
When our minds and hearts try to wander,
bring them back quickly to you.
Let the discipline we learn in worship
then transfer to our everyday life so that,
even as our minds deal with
whatever we have to deal with,
we are always also focused on you.
Amen.
