To Be Present
O God,
Help us today and all days to be present.
Oh, we’re physically present wherever we are,
but we have a remarkable ability to be
present in body but absent in spirit.
So help us to be fully present
in every moment we live,
in every situation we encounter, and
in every conversation we have,
because every moment, every situation,
and every conversation is a gift
that deserves our full participation.
Help us to respect our lives
and the lives of others by being
fully present in everything
we hear, say, and do.
Help us today and all days to be present …
