Ash Wednesday
O God,
We reflect today on our mortality.
Some of us need to be reminded.
Some of us never forget.
We repent today of our sins.
Some of us need to be reminded.
Some of us never forget.
We are mortal. But we are alive.
We are sinners. But we are forgiven.
Remind us that we can
and should serve you
in our humanity.
Remind us that we can
and should serve you
in your forgiveness.
Amen.
