Third Day of Easter
O God,
When we have to choose between
the things that make for life and
the things that make for death,
help us always choose life.
Help us always choose
what draws us to you over
what moves us away from you,
what builds people up over
what tears them down,
what inspires us to look to you over
what compels us to look to ourselves,
what leads us to generosity over
what leads us to selfishness,
what leads us to self-sacrifice over
what leads us to self-protection, and
what contributes to peace over
what contributes to conflict.
Amen.
