Twenty-Sixth Day of Easter
O God,
Raise us up so we can
see past our fears.
When we face a legitimate threat,
help us deal with it honestly,
realistically, and courageously.
Keep us clear-eyed and level-headed
so we can know what we should
do to deal with the situation.
Help us guard against concocted
or exaggerated threats. Give us
wisdom not to fear what doesn’t
threaten us and not to listen to
voices that encourage us to do so.
Let
hope be our constant perspective,
trust our consistent mindset, and
peace our continuous attitude.
Amen.
