Reality (Pt. 1)
O God,
Help us stay in touch with reality.
Help us be realists and pragmatists.
Help us see and deal with life, with situations,
and with circumstances as they really are.
Don’t let us engage in escapism, denial, or nostalgia.
Keep us from blocking our view with dark
glasses or altering it with rose-colored ones.
Instead, let us see the world through clear lenses.
Help us stay in touch with reality.
Help us deal with life as it is.
Amen.
