Place

O God,

Insofar as we are able
to comprehend our place
in the world,
in the universe,
and
in life,
we thank you.

Insofar as we are unable
to comprehend our place
in the world,
in the universe,
and
in life,
we ask for faith.

Give us your gracious and
mysterious guidance that
we might go as far as we can
and
do as much as we can
to fill our place,
whether at the moment we
think we know what it is,
have no idea what it is,
or
just can’t think any more
about what it might be.

Amen.
