The Lord’s Day
O God,
We praise you today
because you are eternal,
although the reality of eternity
is beyond our understanding.
Give us a glimpse of eternity
in our worship of you today;
let the fact of eternity come to
have a greater impact on how
we think about and
live in the here and now.
Give us a long view
that fills every moment
in the short term
with great meaning.
Amen.
