Move Over (Twenty-First Day of Lent)
O God,
As we examine ourselves, we might be surprised and even shocked to find out what we have allowed to come to reside at the core of our being.
Perhaps we have let such things as fear, anger, hate, prejudice, envy, lust, self-righteousness, and/or pride take up residence right at the center of who we are.
If it is asking too much to have them taken completely away all at once, at least begin in us the process of moving them over toward the edges of our heart …
Amen.
