Half-Way (Twentieth Day of Lent)
O God,
Here at the half-way point of Lent, help us to evaluate our progress and our lack of progress.
How open have we been in our self-evaluation?
How honest have we been in our confession?
How accepting have we been of your forgiveness?
Remind us today that our sins are to be acknowledged, not celebrated; remind us that your forgiveness is to be celebrated, not merely acknowledged.
Amen.
