A Prayer for Tuesday, June 23, 2015

Glimpse

O God,

Today

will be a good day,
a day worth living,
if I can catch a glimpse
of your glory.

Lead me to look
in the right places.

Lead me to watch for
a glimpse of your glory

in the trust of a child,
in the willingness of a volunteer,
in the smile of a friend,
in the selflessness of a servant,
in the vulnerability of a lover,
in the love of a parent, and
in the need of a stranger.

Remind me to keep my
eyes on where your glory
is most likely to be found.

Amen.
