Bless You
O God,
We say it to someone—
sometimes even to
a complete stranger—
when she or he sneezes.
Help us to bless others—
even complete strangers—
in more substantial ways.
Help us to bless them
with our acceptance,
with our kindness,
with our mercy,
with our understanding,
and
with our love.
Help us to bless them
with our attitudes,
with our words,
and
with our actions.
Help us to bless them
with the blessings with
which you have blessed us.
Amen.
