A Prayer for Friday, February 5, 2016

No (Part 4)

O God,

Help us say “No” to arrogance.

Help us

not to think more of
ourselves than we ought,

not to think that
we’re always right,

and

not to think that our ways are
necessarily better than other ways.

Lead us instead

to listen eagerly to others,

to learn all we can from others,

and

to consider that others may be right.

Amen.
