No (Part Two)
O God,
Help us say “No” to self-centeredness.
We have to take care of ourselves.
We must think of ourselves in order
to be responsible for ourselves.
But don’t let us think about ourselves more
than is necessary or more than we should.
Help us instead to think of others
more than we do of ourselves.
Help us to put the needs of
others ahead of our own.
Help us to want what is best for others
as much as we want what is best for us.
Amen.
